Standard Products Warranty (Year 1) The standard warranty supplied with all Thermo Fisher Scientific robot arms, controllers and Thermo Fisher Scientific manufactured options, provides return to factory service and/or advance replacement parts service for a period of one year from the product ship date from a Thermo Fisher Scientific manufacturing facility. The warranty covers 100% of Thermo Fisher Scientific parts and factory labour required to repair or replace the product, and shipping costs for return to customer by airfreight. On-site warranty service can be requested; however, travel related expenses such as airfare, mileage, hotel, living costs and travel labour (at a reduced rate) are not covered under this contract. Standard Products Service Contract (Years 2+) This one-year, annually renewable service contract for Thermo Fisher Scientific robot arms, controllers and Thermo Fisher Scientific manufactured options provides return to factory service and/or advance replacement parts service. The contract covers 100% of Thermo Fisher Scientific parts and factory labour required to repair or replace the product, and shipping costs for return to customer by airfreight. On-site warranty service can be requested; however, travel related expenses are not covered under this warranty. Year-2 or year-2&3 service contracts can be purchased at a discount if ordered early with the initial product purchase. Standard Products On-Site Service Contract (Years 2+) This one-year, annually renewable service contract for Thermo Fisher Scientific robot arms, controllers and Thermo Fisher Scientific manufactured options provides on-site service in addition to the standard contract services noted above. The contract covers 100% of Thermo Fisher Scientific parts, factory and on-site labour, travel time and travel costs for customers within driving distance of a Thermo Fisher Scientific Service Centre. Special contract provisions are defined for on-site service for those customers requiring air travel from a Thermo Fisher Scientific Service Centre. Year-2 or year-2&3 on-site service contracts can be purchased at a discount if ordered early with the initial product purchase. Advance Replacement Parts Service When parts are considered to be user serviceable, and the customer has the required training to repair a specific device, replacement parts will be direct shipped to customers at Thermo Fisher Scientific expense, and an invoice prepared. When the customer returns the defective materials to Thermo Fisher Scientific, at the customer expense for airfreight, the invoice is credited. This service is available only for customer equipment that is protected by a Thermo Fisher Scientific warranty or service contract. Technical Support Services (Via Phone, Fax, E-Mail) Thermo Fisher Scientific offers product information and troubleshooting support for all Thermo Fisher Scientific supplied products, via telephone, fax, or e-mail. This service is included in all warranty and service contracts for the purpose of maintaining equipment in an operational state (this support does not include program development assistance or how-to-use questions. If there is no warranty or service contract in effect, a customer may obtain Product Support as a chargeable service. Thermo Fisher Scientific Authorized Parts Sales Thermo Fisher Scientific authorized parts can be ordered via the Thermo Fisher Scientific Technical Services Group at 1-800-365-7587 between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm EST, Monday to Friday. All Thermo Fisher Scientific supplied parts are warranted for ninety days against defects in material and workmanship. Preventative Maintenance, Rebuild, and Miscellaneous Services Thermo Fisher Scientific offers a variety of preventive maintenance, equipment rebuild, and other non-contract services such as short-term robot rentals, designed to assist customers without a contract to maintain reliable operation of their Thermo Fisher Scientific equipment. Service Training Courses The Thermo Fisher Scientific Training Centre provides Service Training courses for specific models of robot systems, in addition to our selection of Customer Operations and Programming courses. The service courses are usually 3 days in duration and use a hands-on approach to teaching basic service, repair and adjustment procedures for the robot arm and controller.
